Dharma’s Garden is known for connecting the local community of Boulder, Colorado, back to its roots of nature and a sustainable food system. Tim and Kerry, the owners of Dharma’s Garden, are local to design a community center that fits the current landscape of their garden while tying the architecture back into education and sustainability. The Greenhouse Cabin accomplishes Tim and Kerry’s goals of a community center by placing a building on site that truly belongs there. By working with the elevation of the site, choosing materials that fit naturally into the surroundings, and positioning itself on-site in the best light possible, Greenhouse Cabin becomes an essential educational hub.
